I've fallen off the map of time, living in a splendid Georgian mansion in the heart of Dublin. There's a lovely walled garden where I pick and eat an apple each day.
Tech support failed me totally -- even the phone at the house is on the blink. I'm writing this post on a public internet connection at a news agent.
Other than being communications free for a few days, Dublin is quite the experience. Tonight I see "Colleen Bawn" by Dion Boucicault. Looking forward to that.
Friday I was at the opening of an exhibit of the works of the rediscovered Dutch master Gabriel Metsu at the National Gallery. A very impressive place and an outstanding show.
