Uke Jackson is Making a Movie

Okay. We're taking the first baby steps to create a feature movie from my 1995 stage play The Secret Warhol Rituals. I've revamped the story some to reflect changes in the world since then.

We  are looking for:

cinematographer / camera operators (with their own cameras, ideally; or we can rent cameras)

actors and actresses

help with the costuming

money

If you're interested in being part of this production, get in on the ground floor now. Please send me an email or post a comment and let me know what you want to do.

We expect to start shooting in the spring.

Here's an early blog post with some photos from the 1995 production, where I muse about making it a musical. Well, the movie will have about half a dozen or so musical numbers in it.

In the proverbial nutshell, it is the story of a secret lodge of performance artists who meet in the hope of harnessing the power of the universe to give themselves mainstream careers. It's sure to be the wackiest movie to come along in quite some time.

And how does an unknown playwright and working class bohemian expect to get his hands on enough money to make this thing fly? Well, even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile.
